Our Rewards Chart was created as a tool for helping change children’s habits. It can also be used as a great personal motivation tool.

Rewards can be a fantastic way to reinforce good behaviour. They can also help us focus on positive achievements and be an encouragement for reaching goals.

The chart has space for 8 actions, for example; cleaning your teeth without being asked, making your bed, cleaning up the playroom.

We found choosing the reward can be the most difficult part (you don’t want to be buying a new toy every week!). Why not start with a sticker or a token? Perhaps choose a family bike ride, special time with mum or dad, the chance to stay up late, a movie night or a new book?

The novelty can soon wear off and become less fun as kids grow up, so we suggest rewarding them with something they need to collect to receive a higher incentive.
